School awarded for collecting papers and cans

Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) and Swiss International Air Lines honoured Dubai GEM private school for garnering the highest points in the paper and can collection campaign

Swiss Airlines awarded GEM – who collected 91,590 kilos of paper and 928 kilos of cans - two tickets to Switzerland.

Ameena Mohammed Al Morinni, and Motaz Khal were awarded Best Mum and Dad of the Year for encouraging their kids to keep the environment clean.

Hazel Saldanha, SWISS’ Marketing and Public Relations manager for the Arabian Gulf, said: “SWISS has a strict policy on environmental issues, and we see the work carried out by the Emirates Environmental Group as vital to raising awareness amongst the youth of the city. Educating young people on the importance of environmental issues will see better management of resources for the future.”
