Dubai has again rewarded a good suggestion with cash.
It all started when Ahmad Mahmoub Mussabah prepared a simplified study of the current operation costs and processing transactions in the Dubai Ports , Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC). He then proposed for enhancements. These suggestions were later proved successful, thus last week he was awarded $136,000 (AED 500,000) in cold cash.
Mussabah is the acting Executive Director- Legislations and Policies in the company. He is the second winner of PCFC’s ‘Suggestion Scheme’.
Sultan Bin Sulayem, Chairman of PCFC, said: “Achieving continuous improvement through employee involvement is a priority at PCFC where human resources are considered the biggest asset on which all administrative, technical and field aspects are based. Adding the Group Suggestion and Reward Scheme (SRS) which PCFC has been implementing for many years is the best proof of this perception.”
This scheme, since its inception in October 2000, has received 6334 suggestions and have awarded about $626,000 (AED2.3 million) cash prizes.
